  • confidence and ability to engage positively with children
  • commitment to excellence in teaching
  • flexibility – a crucial characteristic that is vital in this active and constantly changing environment
  • an interest in and understanding of the holistic and learning needs of primary aged children
  • some knowledge of current educational issues

Applicant qualifications

We require all applicants to hold an honours degree of at least a 2:2 standard as well as GCSEs in English, Maths and Science at Grade 4 (or C) or above, or equivalent.

You should be able to demonstrate an interest in and understanding of the holistic and learning needs of primary aged children, as well as have knowledge of the current issues affecting education and the National Curriculum. We encourage applicants to gain relevant school-based experience prior to the application process, although this is not essential. Contact us to discuss the option of spending a little time in one of our schools.
